It may be cold and the middle of February but the WPR team are busy preparing for the season ahead.

Engines and cars are being rebuilt or checked over ready for serious activity due to begin in March. Ray Smith's Swift SC93 (pictured) has just finished a chassis-up rebuild while Don Boyack's Van Diemen RF88 has new bodywork, exhaust and re-built shocks. Both cars are due for a shakedown test at Combe on March 15th.

Guy Parr and Des Andrews GT's are having their engines refreshed and Guy's Fiesta engine is being re-built at Sandy Brown's with a view to being out in March.

Steve Bracegirdle is planning to run the first few Combe rounds in both his Van Diemen Formula Ford and Nemesis GT and see how things progress before deciding where to concentrate his efforts. He is also planning to take in a number of the Pre 90 Oulton FF races and both Ray and Don are hoping to make the trip North from time to time.

Hopefully, joining Steve at Combe for a March test will be Chris Bennett in his Van Diemen after some pre season maintenance in the WPR workshops ahead of the first round of the British Sprint Championship at Combe on March 24th.

Finally Pete Diccox is planning another season in the Castle Combe FF Championship although he will have to miss the first round in April.
