With team boss on a plane to the Middle East the WPR squad was back in the capable hands of Lynn Poole to enjoy a splendid day's racing and much success. Lining up on the grid in the finishing order from the previous day's race Felix Fisher initially slotted into second behind poleman Ben Norton. Despite dropping back a little in the early running Felix was soon back on the tail of Norton and began to apply some serious pressure and making probing moves down the inside and around the outside. The pressure paid off and Norton had a spin leaving Felix to take an easy overall and Class win in the Swift SC92. Having softened the rear end of his car in search of more grip, Olly Bull found it more to his liking and had a lonely race to finish sixth. Following the disappointment of the day before Tom Margetson was determined (yes really determined!) and made another of his blinding starts to lead Ash Clifford (another good start) away from Julian Heap in Class C. In fact Tom and Ash were so far up the field they were mixing it with Class A and B runners and in the busy traffic Ash just clipped the back of Higgins' Class A car and picked up an immediate puncture, ending his race. Back up front, despite coming under a bit of pressure from Heap, Tom held on to take and excellent and hugely popular win in Class C. Felix and Tom are pictured left on the winners rostrum. With Des Andrews Sleek GT car still not ready, Guy Parr offered him the seat of his Wayne Poole run Nemesis GT and after a solid practice, Des ran well in the race to take third in Class. Race reports to follow.
