News > Mixed fortunes at Combe on May 7th

08/05/2007

Following weeks of dry settled weather, a wet circuit confronted the drivers for the Bank Holiday meeting at Castle Combe. Following a wet practice, a damp qualifying race saw Wayne Poole drivers Matt Devenish and Paul James (pictured right) finish together in 17th and 18th places. An unfortunate Pete Diccox wasn't classified at the finish and was unable to start the main race. The main race was held in dry and sunny conditions and Matt finished 22nd overall and seventh in a very competitive class while Paul finished 27th. Team associate, Tom Margetson, finished a creditable 21st in his Reynard FF89.
