Promising season opener for WPR

The WPR team had a low key start to the 2017 season, taking a single car, Richard Hudson-Evans' Van Diemen RF99/JL14 for Josh Fisher, to the first event of the Britcover National Formula Ford championship at Brands Hatch.

With no testing, Josh qualified the car tenth in a strong field and went on to finish fifth in Race 1. In Race 2 Josh went one better taking fourth and hopes were high for the final race despite starting fifth on the reverse grid. Unfortunately Josh was punted off on the first lap ending a race the driver thought he had a good chance of winning.

Despite that it was a good week-end and one team boss, Wayne Poole, enjoyed particularly as he doesn't often get the chance to concentrate his efforts on a single car.
